Food chain 2 contest. got in 12th for preliminary round. ok i was seriously shock la. i thought we'll be one of the last few but not LAST. 1st team get to skip 1 compulsary station and 1 road block. 2nd team get to skip 1 road block and 3rd team get to start with them at 9. team 4-7 start at 9.15. team 8 onwards start at 9.30. second day, real competition. i didn't have much hope on winning. i just thought what the heck i don't wanna finish last. i seriously do NOT want to finish last. oh and compulsary stations are not known until we finish our free and easy. and and we have to skip 2 mrt stops at least before we can eat our free and easy.
First station Bak Kut Teh and Ang Mo Kio.
11th position. imagine my gleeful face man =D i was seriously happy la even thugh i didn't get to eat the Bak Kut Teh =( the moment the bowl touched the table dephenie started drinking. like whoa so chiong. both Joanne and me went to the toilet. we came out to find the Bak Kut Teh FINISHED. yes, tht fast -.- but whatever
Second station (2 station) Free and Easy
we went to Serangoon. We had 2 choices. Toa Payoh or Serangoon. Chose Serangoon in the end. forgot why la. Bak Kut Teh right? 肉骨茶. we decided to get a drink. because drinking would be faster. we got 菊花茶. After that we went to Paya Lebar to get some long name zhen zhu nai cha. My chinese suck so i didn't really bother to rmb.
Compulsary station (East Coast Park)
We took quite long to get there la. Thanks to Melissa's bbq i've been there quite recently. I recognized landmarks like dao nan school some seaview condo. i got lost there tht time. Reach ECP to find out we were 3rd. Even happier =D who wouldn't la. we were last leh. We had to play some dirty games lor. We spend so much time there that we got overtaken by an all guys group la. dropping to fourth considering they left the place first. we took darn 45 mins on the bus and throughout the bus ride we were planning what to eat next. where to go next. how to cut short our time as much as possible.
Compulsary station 2 (Thomson Road Long House)
Deph knows how to go. we reached there to see the same guys tht over take us. they just got off the bus and the moment they saw us they started running. they ate the goreng pisang and left before we even started running towards Long House. We had to tell this story about Goreng Pisang(Fried Banana) -.- after tht we had to eat it. it was HOT. but seeing those guys made me competitive la. i bit off half of it lor. deph ate the half of my half lol? we ran out to catch the bus back to Bishan(closest stop we could go.)
Free and Easy 2 (2 station)
we ate fried lemon chicken rice from Junction 8. i kept on running la. the others keep telling me dun gan chiong. i can't help it la. want to win ma -.- fried lemon chicken rice we linked to Lemon Barley from Raffles Place. we took MRT from J8 to Raffles Place. Yes we got hints. WHOSE MARTIAL DON'T GIVE HINT? hint was "from central." tht's how we went to raffles.
Compulsary station 3 (Esplanade)
we got tricked by the team tht came in second la. we thought they haven't get the clue yet. we followed them. and only found out we were tricked later. when their martial told us. we had to play another game. 2 cards were given to choose first. i picked white. 3 cards were given. i picked sugar. px picked sugar too. dephenie got salt(white) and lin got (water). we were all darn lucky. nobody picked black cause black would mean soya sauce blah blah blah.
Compulsary station 4 (Tiong Bahru Market)
We only knew the location which we GUESSED. from hints tht vincent and Joanne gave us. AGAIN, which team did NOT receive any hints? and from then on we were on our own la. Just so happen the moment we knew it was in Tiong Bahru px knew it was in Tiong Bahru market. we made our own way there OURSELVES. and from there we went back OURSELVES. NO HINTS NO NTH.
Final stop school
bonus round(can only be played if we complete the tiong bahru stop before 5) and fin.
Third team to reach school. really very happy. seriously happy. heck we weren't first but we weren't last so i was very very happy already. i mean wtf. from 12th to 3rd. it's a darn big jump.
Points allocation. the 1st team was 5th. we were all shocked. i didn't know why at first la. i only knew later it was cause they took cab and it was agaist the rules. the first 3 point allocation was empty. which left the group that reached 2nd, us and the all girls team that was originally 5th. Vincent asked who wanted to bet that the team that came in 1st would be third. no groups voted for us except for one. Gloria's group. it's like nobody wanted us to win. nobody can blame them. i didn't expect us to win either. but we won? and there seems to be so many ppl soso unhappy over it la. we won cause we ate lesser food. won by 1 freaking point. there seem to be so many unhappy ppl over it lor. including those tht were by right behind us. it's like they're unhappy we won and not their fren. those ppl were year 2's btw. we're year 1. it just wasn't fair. i collected my medal feeling like shit. i just wanted to dig a hole and hide. wanted to cry cause i felt so wronged. and now i'm
ANGRY. u fuck faced ppl. we deserve tht gold medal as much as u did ok. u did ur best we did ours. so what makes u think so we do NOT deserve it. u ppl give off the feeling tht it was our fault u did not win or tht we dun deserve it. well fuck off. it's not OUR fault you did not win and we DO deserve some credit.
